A small paradise
in the heart of Tuscany

Borgo Macereto is extended on approximately 20 hectares (45 acres) on the hills that dominate the area between Mugello and Valdisieve, in Dicomano (Florence).  Of the estate, 6 hectares are dedicated to vineyards, 3 hectares to olive groves and the remaining area is divided between meadows and woodland. The agricultural production started in 2014 when the Foscarini family bought the property and decided to dedicate a large part of it to vineyard, recovering the original 3 hectares of vineyards planted with Sangiovese and Gamay by adding Pinot Noir and a variety of aromatic whites including Riesling, Incrocio Manzoni, Moscato, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier in 2016, to give a touch of originality, freshness and elegance.
Keeping track with the local tradition two other hectares were planted with Sangiovese, fundamental for the production of the local DOCG Chianti Rufina wines.

A typical production,
organic and high quality

From the beginning the winery decided to make its own production as organic and with the goal of making quality wines rather than mass produced wines.
Vines are trelled with spurred cordon and Guyot methods and producing very low yields.

The Extra Virgin Olive Oil
according to Tradition

The farmhouse Borgo Macereto stands between Sangiovese vineyards and ancient olive groves inside the organic farm that produces wine and extra virgin IGP Toscana olive oil . The recently renovated, ancient and charming cellars dominate the surrounding landscape, furthermore, from the fresh pomaces of the wines is then extracted a fragrant and delicate grappa.
